We believe people should be able to access safe, trusted and proportionate support before their needs necessarily require regulated care or can work alongside a regulated care provider.
At Gentle Hands Home Support, I believe support is about so much more than helping people at home. Our approach is built around connection, independence, and community. We create engaging campaigns, share practical advice, raise awareness of important issues, and encourage people to stay active, informed, and involved in the lives they love.
Our marketing reflects who we are—positive, community-focused, and passionate about helping people live well. Whether we're promoting wellbeing, tackling loneliness, celebrating local events, or providing trusted information, our aim is to inspire people to live life to the fullest, not simply receive support.
My Career Journey
People often see where you are today, but rarely the journey it took to get there.
My career didn't begin in health and social care. It started as a Development Technologist creating chilled desserts for leading supermarkets, including the well-known M&S Posh Profiteroles. It was a role built on quality, innovation and attention to detail, where every stage mattered—from development timelines and product launch schedules to rigorous testing, packaging design, back-of-pack information, artwork approvals and even the precise packaging gauge.
I remember sitting in a meeting where a profiterole had smeared and rolled inside the packaging. It became a huge discussion point, with intense focus on how something so small could impact the entire product experience. But in that moment, I found myself thinking there had to be more to life than this level of scrutiny over a dessert.
Then I made a decision that surprised everyone.
When I left my role to move into care, my family thought I was mad. I was leaving a successful career for something completely different. But I felt a strong pull towards the sector. I wanted to give something back, make a real difference, and do work that had purpose.
So I started at the very beginning as a Care Worker, before progressing to Senior Care Worker, Deputy Manager, Care Manager, CQC Registered Manager in live-in care, nursing homes and domiciliary care, and later becoming an Operations Manager and CQC Responsible Individual.
As I moved around the sector, when I look back it was not that I was unhappy in the roles or unhappy with senior leaders. I wanted to see every part of it, even the personal assistant role, to truly understand the full picture of care.
Over the years I've had the privilege of supporting and leading services for older people, people living with frailty, complex needs, learning disabilities, behaviours that challenge, long-term health conditions and those receiving end-of-life care. I've worked across residential homes, supported living, children's services, post-19 education, home care and now home support.
Every role has taught me something. Every challenge has shaped my leadership. Every person I've supported has left a lasting impact on me.
Today, I'm incredibly proud to have founded Gentle Hands Home Support and HHS Cleaning. These businesses are built on the belief that support looks different for everyone and that compassion, dignity and kindness should always come first.
Looking back, leaving that first career wasn't madness at all—it was the best decision I ever made.
This timeline isn't about job titles. It's about purpose, resilience, growth and never losing sight of why I started this journey.

Jason's perspective on care is deeply influenced by his upbringing in a close-knit family, which instilled in him an understanding of the significance of maintaining connections with loved ones.

Starting his career in the care sector at an early age and coming from another background, Jason aimed to positively impact his local community.
Beginning as a support worker in services for individuals with learning disabilities, he gained critical experience assisting people from diverse backgrounds and with various needs.
His dedication and work ethic quickly propelled him into senior roles.
Career Progression Through Experience
In pursuit of new challenges, Jason transitioned into care management, where his commitment to quality and leadership led him to become a CQC Registered Manager and Responsible Individual & Operations. He has held quality and operational positions throughout his career, advocating for high-quality, person-centred care.
He believes that individuals should be empowered to feel safe, healthy, and independent in their own homes.
His diverse experience from both frontline and leadership roles has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of quality, compliance, and the importance of continuous improvement.
Jason consistently strives to meet high standards in compassionate care while guiding teams to deliver excellent service. He is enthusiastic about providing top-quality support to local communities and is dedicated to nurturing the development of support and care workers within the dynamic health and social care sector.
